Starting Out: Discussion of legal issues, state requirements, curriculum options and support systems.

Choosing Curriculum: Helping you plan and design your home school around your child’s learning style, your teaching style, and your family’s lifestyle.

Student Assessment:

Placement: Used to indicate children’s placement level within the homeschool curriculum

End-of-year Assessment: An assessment of your child’s annual progress in specific curricular areas.

Standardized Testing: Used to track student progress over a period of time.

Portfolio Creation:

Does your state require a portolio as a record of your student's schoolwork? We can help you plan and put together your portfolio based on your state's requirements.

Home Schooling the High School Student:

Consultation intended to provide information and assistance for the parents of students entering the high school years. Information pertaining to curriculum planning, distance learning options, transcripts, graduation requirements, college entrance, and PSAT, SAT and ACT testing will be included.

Alpha Omega's Switched-on Schoolhouse^® (SOS) is a flexible, and highly customizable, computer-based curriculum for children, grades 3-12. Our consultant, an experienced SOS user, can help your family get the most from the program by assisting you with its customization and daily use. Also available are online "webinars" which can give you an overview of the many customizable features available in this versatile curriculum.
